We are very remote out here, but every car that passes (about 5) stopped to make sure we were okay. It was hot and dusty, but Mike dispatched the problem efficiently and effectively. After a bit of a wash, a drink and a bite to eat we were underway again.
Just after we started off again, the CB aerial decided to unscrew itself and drop off. We retrieved it and screwed it back on, but it was a bit wobbly, so it obviously wants to travel inside the car with us.
We travelled another 50km or so and came in to check out the Southern Lost City. It is the most amazing sandstone rock formation. It captured our imagination and we decided to stay the night and walk in the late afternoon and early morning. There were only 2 other couples, so a very quiet night.
The 2.5km walk takes you up and through the rock formations and then along a ridge at the back before dropping down through the other end. Spectacular! We did it in both directions.
I'll let the photos do the talking.
